The top 3 things candidates look for when seeking their next opportunity are:

  • Working with great people

  • Recognition and reward

  • Flexibility and wellbeing

We intentionally built a standardised profile for companies to bring to the forefront the things that candidates care most about, so that they apply. Remember, the average number of applications a candidate will make before finding a role is 6. Don’t miss out by neglecting your Company Profile.

1. Add benefits that matter, especially flexibility and remote policy

Tea and coffee, statutory pension contributions and season ticket loans may have been sufficient in 2019. Today’s candidates are discerning and value more than just a salary.

  • Flexible working: What is your approach to flexible working? What health and mental health benefits do you cover? What is your philosophy on flexible work beyond mandatory office attendance?

  • Inclusion: What inclusive activities do you offer your employees? Don’t limit this to after-hours work drinks or summer parties. Do you have a budget for team socials or budgets for coffee catch-ups with cross-functional teams?

  • Progression and development: How often do you run your appraisal cycles? What is your approach to salary reviews?

2. Showcase endorsements from current employees to tell your company story

Saying what it’s like to work at your company is one thing. But having members of your team share their experiences is another.

Give your team the opportunity to share an authentic endorsement of what it’s like to work there. And they can be specific to provide context: what are managers like, how are values exemplified and celebrated, and what’s the work like.

Why? We boost visibility for companies that have at least three endorsements, and we use these to match further with candidate preferences.

3. Photos

And, of course, show what it’s like to work there with photos in your profile. These don’t have to be professional; they can be taken by anyone on the team. Think candid team shots, team building activities, and after work drinks that showcase how inclusive, hardworking and human you all are.

Losing out to competitors?

Your Customer Success Manager (Pro and Advanced, only) can review your Profile and provide expert consultation for optimising it to attract more of the right applications. And they can provide you competitor benchmarking insights to help develop your brand on the platform.
